FAQs

We measure all our Contractor Bags in inches and our Tarps in Feet.

Our Contractor Bags are simply measured by Length and Width, so our “32 x 50 Heavy Duty Contractor Bag” would be: 32 inches wide by 50 inches long.
A “Mil” represents one-thousandth of an inch. “Mil”, is an industry standard term used to describe a bag's thickness. The thicker the “mil”, the thicker the bag.

Here’s some more information on our line of Tarps:

• Tarps are not measured by gauge, but by Denier, our tarps range from 850-1,000 Denier, according to weave.
• More info on Denier - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Units_of_textile_measurement#Denier
• Our Tarps vary from 110 Grams to 95 grams per square meter.
• Our Tarps are extruded to film, then split by Longitude and Latitude.
• Tarps are laminated after weaving, normally with about a 30 or 40-micron lamentation.
• All four edges of our tarps are reinforced by Polypro Hem, double stitched or welded.
• Our Grommets are made of rust-resistant metal with zinc plating.
• Our Grommets run along the tarps at 3-foot intervals.
All our Contractor Bags come with a supply of Twist Ties in the box.
All our bags are made from recycled Low-Density Polyethylene resin.
All our bags are made in our factory in the USA.  Most Tarps sold in the US are import items.

All Tarps (no matter where purchased) typically are sold by their "listed" sizes. It's something to keep in mind before placing any orders. So what does that mean? In reality, all tarps have two sizes: a "listed" (or "cut") size and a "finished" size.  The "listed" size is the tarp's sizing before it's finished. So a 10' x 12' tarp's listed size, is just that - 10' x 12'. A tarp's "finished" size is the size after any processing - such as adding grommets, hems, or seams. On the whole, the finishing process removes about 6" off each side of the tarp. So, our listed 10' x 12' tarp measures out at 9’ 4” x 11’ 4".

In general, "listed vs. finished price" is a good rule to be aware of when ordering any Tarps. .
